&M Dance Company is making theater shows based on a blend of ballet, contemporary, modern and physical theater. The reason the styles are so diverse is because both Andrea and Ema come from quite different paths of dance, but have found their collaboration creates a language that combines the styles in a unique and interesting way.

ANDREA SOLOMUN | BIO

Andrea Solomun

Andrea Solomun is a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer from Croatia.

She finished “The School for Classical Ballet” in Zagreb, and has completed Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive. She perfected her knowledge in workshops in the USA and Europe led by some of the lead artist in the fields of contemporary, modern and commercial dance today: Akram Khan, Tokyo, A.M. Forsythe, Pedro Ruiz, Nick Garcia, Ade Obayomi, Javier Ninja, DuJuan Smart Jr., Graciela Kozak, Elizabeth Waterhouse, Jorge Vazquez etc.

She worked locally and internationally on projects like “La Femme” by Sain Louis Rhino, musical “Footloose” by Igor Barberić, musical “Celebration” by Fred Mann, “Nothing’s wrong” by Aleksandra Mišić and Ognjen Vučinić etc.

She choreographed the musical “Resurrected” directed by Robert Bošković and Marko Cindrić, as well as she choreographed musical “Legend of Rose town” directed by Robert Bošković – which is still running in “Komedija Theater” in Zagreb, CRO.

She choreographs for commercial TV performances, concerts, promotions, fashion shows, and works as an associate for movement for all the performing arts (actors, singers etc.)

Her teaching experience extends through various fields and dance styles, which she teaches throughout Croatia and internationally (fitness, flow yoga, ballet, modern, ballet etc.). She is also a founder of “Andrea’s Room” Dance studio in Zagreb, Croatia.

After the first full length theatre show “Prison of Decision”, which she choreographed and performed with her colleague Ema Jankovic, which achieved a huge success, they founded “Dance Company &M” in Croatia. “&M” produced their second theater piece “Oh Sweet Something” in collaboration with three musicians in 2015. The piece is currently touring.

EMA JANKOVIC | BIO

Ema Jankovic is a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher from Croatia.

After winning a scholarship to expand her education in the USA, via ASSIST and Forum za Slobodu Odgoja organizations, in 2007-2009 she decided to attend a dance university. She finished TrinityLaban dance conservatory in 2012, and during her training she has done placements (work experience) with NDT II (Netherlands) and Joss Arnott Dance Company (UK).

She has attended various workshops and classes by: Rambert Dance Company, Random Dance Company, Matthew Bourne Dance Company, Hofesh Shechter Dance Company, Tavaziva, Rosie Kay Dance Company, Maurice Causey, Aakash Odedra etc.

Since graduating she has been working on various projects. Some of them are: Saint Louis Rhino’s „La Femme“ in Croatia, and in London, with Lewis Major Dance Company in the project „Glasshouses“. She has been a part of Jasmin Vardimon 2 (JV2) Postgraduate Company, during which she lead professional international workshops and auditions in England. She performed in “Tomorrow” with Jasmin Vardimon Company in Sadler’s Wells.
